Presentation Fee
The presentation fee contributes to the expenses associated with preparation of the conference proceedings, ensuring that all accepted papers are properly prepared and formatted for presentation at the conference, along with other presentation related costs such as availability for hybrid presentation and preparation of venue for variety of presentation formats. This fee is not the same as paying to publish a paper or make a paper open access.
Authors of accepted papers to the Full Paper track (FP) are required to pay the Presentation Fee for Full Papers (250 € for each paper). Authors of accepted papers to the five EA tracks (Work-in-Progress [WP], Perspectives on Play [POP], Doctoral Consortium [DC], Student Game Design Competition [SG], and Interactivity [IN]) are required to pay the Presentation Fee for Extended Abstracts (175 € for each paper). Presentation fee is waived for accepted workshops and panels to the Connections track. Papers will be withdrawn from CHI PLAY 2024 program and proceedings if the presentation fee is unpaid.
To pay the fee, one author for each accepted submission will need to register the paper via the conference registration system (CVENT) and make the payment. A single registration may be used to pay for presentation fee for multiple papers.
For example,
- If you are an ACM/SIGCHI student member, want to attend in-person, and present two full papers, you will pay: (1) On-site Attendee – ACM/SIGCHI Student member (early bird: 300 euros); and (2) presentation fee for two full papers (250 euros for each, 500 euros in total), totaling 800 euros.
- If you are an ACM/SIGCHI professional member, want to attend in-person, and present one full paper, you will pay: (1) On-site Attendee – ACM/SIGCHI Professional member (early bird: 575 euros); and (2) presentation fee for one full paper (250 euros), totaling 825 euros.
