Welcoming Reception

Join us for the Welcoming Reception of CHI PLAY 2024!

Enjoy a spectacular night at the Game Museum of Tampere on October 14. After our opening keynote talk, you can freely navigate the museum exhibits and play classic or obscure games. You will also have the unique opportunity to interact with some of Research Centre of Gameful Realities’ newest projects which will be demonstrated on the premises.
This is a night you can defeat space invaders, ski on retro arcade machines, play new card games, express yourself with virtual fashion, and be immersed in future XR applications. Join us to explore the rich history behind games, and see how research and entertainment go hand in hand with technologically facilitated interactions.

Please note: The dining area for the welcoming reception and the welcoming reception keynote will be standing room only. For those who need it, there will be limited seating available, and there will be more seats in the space adjacent to the reception where guests can watch the evening’s events on a screen.
